Jan Stroosma (1928-1983) was one of the leading Frisian artists in the 20th century. Starting in the expressionist style, later on he worked as an abstract and conceptual painter and sculptor. This lithograph is from his expressionist period in the early sixties . His beloved Wadden island Ameland was often the inspiration for his work.
